Remove the air intake duct.
Remove the intake manifold bracket.

Remove the starter in the sequence shown in Figure 7.11.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Removal and installation the starter (Mazda 3 BK)
Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.
Remove the air intake duct.
Remove the intake manifold bracket.
