After removing the mounting bolts and nuts, use a suitable sealant removal tool (Fig. 2.87).
Caution! Be careful not to damage the surface of the part.
Remove the sealant as thoroughly as possible from surfaces, recesses and mounting bolt holes using a suitable tool, such as a scraper. If necessary, heat the surface slightly and remove particles of dried sealant using a piece of cloth soaked in gasoline.

After completing the operations, apply new sealant (Fig. 2.88).
Try to use branded sealant or its equivalent.
After installing the new sealant, wait 5 minutes and install the mating part. Remove excess sealant with a piece of cloth.
Tighten the mounting bolts.
