Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

Remove the trunk lid trim (lower tailgate trim).

Remove in the order shown in Figure 7.36.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

Insert the interior combination light into the trunk lid (tailgate), as shown in Figure 7.37, then turn it inward and lock it in place.

Place the bracket in the position shown in Figure 7.38 and press it into the trunk lid (tailgate).
