Note: If you do not have a special fuel injector tester, perform the "Fuel Leak Test" to check the fuel injector for proper operation.
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the fuel injectors.
Connect the fuel injector to the fuel injector tester.
Measure the volume of fuel injected by each fuel injector using a graduated container. If the leakage amount is greater than the standard, replace the fuel injector.
Fuel injection volume:
- L3: 61–71 ml/15 sec;
- LF: 53–69 ml/15 sec;
- L8: 48–63 ml/15 sec.
Turn the ignition key to the LOCK position and remove the jumper wire.
Install the injectors back into place.
