This means that on a slippery surface, the fuel supply to the engine is automatically regulated so that the optimal torque is supplied to the wheels, which eliminates intensive wheel slip and a decrease in the adhesion force of the wheels to the ground.
Note. To turn off the PBS system, press the switch «DSC OFF».
Operation indicator / malfunction indicator for traction control and anti-skid systems
The indicator comes on for a few seconds after the ignition switch is turned to the «ON» (ignition on). The indicator flashes when the traction control system is activated (PBS) or anti-skid system (CCD).
If the signaling device continues to burn, then this may indicate a violation of the normal functioning of the PBS and CCD systems. In this case, the systems may not work correctly.
Note. Simultaneously with the indicator flashing, a low characteristic noise will be heard accompanying the operation of the system and coming from the engine compartment. This indicates the normal operation of the traction control system. When driving on slippery road surfaces, such as freshly fallen snow, the engine will not be able to develop high speeds if the PBS system is on.
