Remove the key from the ignition.

Check that all windows, sunroof, hood, doors and trunk lid/liftgate are closed.

Press the lock button on the remote control. The direction indicators will flash once. The indicator on the instrument panel will flash twice per second for 20 seconds.

After 20 seconds the security alarm will be switched to the security mode.

To disable the vehicle intrusion sensor, it is necessary no later than 20 seconds after pressing the lock button (while the indicator on the dashboard is flashing) press the sensor deactivation button located on the remote control. The security alarm is deactivated if one of the following events occurs within 20 seconds after pressing the lock button:
  • pressing the unlock button on the remote control;
  • opening a door or trunk lid/tailgate;
  • opening the hood;
  • the key is inserted into the ignition switch;
  • the ignition switch is turned to the "ON" position (ignition on).
