- Check that all glass, exterior mirrors and lights are clean.
- Check the condition of the tires by inspection.
- Before reversing, make sure there are no obstacles behind the vehicle.
- Look under the vehicle and check for any signs of leaks.
Necessary checks
Check the levels of various fluids, such as engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, clutch fluid* and windshield washer fluid, daily or weekly, depending on the fluid, or every time you fill up.
*Only vehicles with diesel engine
Before the start of the trip
- Adjust the interior and exterior mirrors.
- Adjust the driver's seat so that all controls are within easy reach.
- Fasten your seat belt (if any).
- Turn the ignition key to the "ON (II)" position and check the operation of the indicator lamps.
- Check the functionality of all lighting devices.
- Check the functionality of the indicators on the instrument panel.
- Release the handbrake and check that the brake indicator light goes out.
- Before you start driving, familiarize yourself with the vehicle's controls and indicators to ensure you feel confident while driving.
