Parking brake indicator
The indicator comes on when the parking brake is applied and the ignition switch is in the «START» (starter) or «ON» (ignition on). The indicator goes out when the parking brake is fully released.
Brake fluid level warning device
If the warning light stays on after the parking brake is fully released, a brake system problem may be the cause.
Observing safety precautions, immediately pull over to the side of the road or to the edge of the roadway and stop.
You may notice that the force on the brake pedal or its travel has increased (the pedal is lowered to the floor). In both cases, the stopping distance of the car will increase.
1 Stop the engine and check the brake fluid level immediately. If necessary, add brake fluid to the correct level.
2. After topping up the brake fluid, check whether the indicator continues to burn.
If the indicator continues to burn or there are signs of a malfunction of the brake system, further movement of the car is prohibited.
