Parking brake system actuator lever (Mazda 3 BK)

Always set the parking brake and check that the shift lever is in the "P" (Park) position before leaving the driver's seat or the vehicle (cars with automatic transmission), and the gear shift lever is in the first gear or reverse gear position (cars with manual transmission).

Before driving, make sure the parking brake is fully released and the indicator lamp is off.

A – engage the parking brake.

Press the brake pedal and then pull up on the parking brake lever, applying enough force to it to ensure that the vehicle remains stationary when parked.

B – disengage the parking brake.



Press the brake pedal, pull the parking brake lever up and press the release button. Without releasing the release button, lower the parking brake lever all the way to the bottom position (see fig. 1.112).
