Washing the car when the surface is heated by the sun is unacceptable, so wash it only in the shade.
Wash your car as often as possible. Dirt is abrasive and can scratch your car if left unwashed. Polluted air or acid rain can damage the paintwork through a chemical reaction. If you live by the sea or in the region (country), where road salt or road maintenance chemicals are used, pay special attention to the underside of your vehicle.
In winter or after driving on muddy, wet roads, rinse the underside of the vehicle thoroughly. Use a strong water jet to remove buildup of dirt and corrosive materials. Wash your car with a high quality shampoo and follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging. Do not use strong household cleaners, benzine, thinners or abrasive cleaners as this may damage the vehicle's paintwork. Use a clean sponge or cloth, wetting it frequently, and do not damage the paintwork by rubbing too hard. If the dirt has dried on, moisten it liberally and gently remove it.
Wash the wheels with a soft brush or a coarse woolen cloth soaked in a neutral detergent solution.
To clean plastic wheel covers, use a clean sponge or soft cloth and water.
Wash aluminum rims with mild neutral detergent or neutral detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners. Polish bare metal surfaces after washing and apply wax paste. Since aluminum is prone to corrosion, thoroughly wash aluminum rims after driving on salty roads in winter.
Wipe the car gently after washing. After drying, soapy water leaves stains on the paint.
After wiping, wipe the car dry to completely remove water from the paintwork, but do not rub hard to damage it.
If you find dents or scratches in the paintwork, cover them with repair paint to prevent corrosion. Wash your car at least once a month to protect your paintwork. Pay special attention to removing salt and dirt from under the fenders of the car. Make sure the drainage holes are free. Paint damage can be caused by tar stains, industrial emissions, charcoal and insect debris if these are not removed promptly. If plain water is not effective enough to remove accumulated dirt, use neutral car wash solutions. To remove the solution after washing, be sure to wipe the car. Do not allow the solution to dry on the vehicle's paintwork.
