2. Start the engine and warm it up to normal temperature.
3. With the engine idling, disconnect each hose and check the vacuum drip as shown in the figure. There should be no vacuum in ports A, B and C. However, there should be intake manifold vacuum at ports D and E.

4. Repeat the test with the engine speed above idle. There should be vacuum at ports A, B, and C, but ports D and E should have less vacuum than the intake manifold.
