2. To quickly check if an injector is working, place the tip of a long screwdriver in turn on the body of each injector and listen close to the screwdriver for the clicking sound of the needle valve. A faulty injector will not click and will require further investigation.
3. With the engine idling, temporarily remove the wiring connector from each injector. The engine should reduce speed by 100-200 rpm for each injector.
4. Stop the engine and disconnect an electroconducting from injectors. Using an ohmmeter, check the resistance at the two clamps of each injector, it should be 12-16 ohms. If not, the injector is defective.
5. To remove the injector, first disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
6. If the engine is hot, let it cool down.
7. Disconnect the fuel supply hoses from the fuel filter and pressure regulator. Cover hoses with cloth before disconnecting to prevent fuel spillage.
8. Remove wiring connectors from each injector if not already done.
9. Unscrew the pressure regulator from the end of the distributor pipe.
10. Unscrew and remove the distribution pipe from the injectors.
11. Remove the rubber o-rings behind the o-rings, injectors and insulators.
12. To test the injectors further, install them on the distribution pipe and tie them with a wire.

13. Temporarily attach a branch pipe of the distributor between the fuel filter and a return pipe.
14. Connect the negative battery cable, then turn on the ignition.
15. Connect the fuel pump connector clamps (photo) long wire, and check that there is no fuel leakage from the ends of the injector. A small amount of fuel is allowed to leak after five minutes.

16. To continue the test, you will need a measuring glass jar along with an electrical adapter and a switched voltage of 12 volts.
17. Working in turn on each injector, install a plastic tube on the end of the injector and place the free end in the measuring vessel.
18. Connect the fuel pump as described in Item 15 and turn on the ignition.
19. Apply power from the 12 Volt battery to the injector for 15 seconds and check that the amount of fuel supplied is within 44-61 cm3.
20. Remove test equipment and install injectors in reverse order but replace rubber o-rings. Dip them in the fuel only until they are located on the injectors, and the distribution pipe is installed.
