If the engine continues to run after the ignition is turned off, the fuel shut-off valve should be checked.

Examination



1. Leave the engine idling.

1. Leave the engine idling.


2. Disconnect the combined plug of the fuel shut-off valve and the solenoid vent valve.

3. If the engine stops, the fuel shut-off valve is OK, if the engine continues to run, the valve should be replaced.

Removal



1. Remove the air filter.

2. Disconnect the combined plug of the fuel shut-off valve and the solenoid vent valve.

2. Disconnect the combined plug of the fuel shut-off valve and the solenoid vent valve.


3. Unscrew the fuel shut-off valve -arrow-.

4. Remove the shut-off valve plug from the combination plug housing.

Installation



1. Install the fuel shut-off valve with a new gasket and screw it in.



2. Insert the plug into the combination plug housing.

3. Connect the combination plug.

4. Install the air filter.
