1. Remove the vacuum hose.
2. Make sure that air flows freely through the vacuum hose from the brake booster side to the vacuum pump side and does not flow in the opposite direction.

2. Using pliers, loosen the clamp and disconnect the vacuum hose.

4. Diesel versions: Disconnect the vacuum hose from the clamp, then use pliers to loosen the clamp and disconnect the vacuum hose.
