To date, the dynamic stabilization system is an active safety system of the highest level.
The DSC system includes the following systems:
- anti-lock braking system (ABS),
- brake force distribution system (EBD),
- electronic differential lock (EDS),
- traction control system (ASR),
- emergency braking system (VA).
The dynamic stabilization system consists of the following components:
- hydroelectronic control unit;
- wheel speed sensors;
- pressure sensor in the brake system;
- acceleration sensor;
- yaw sensor (lateral acceleration);
- steering angle sensor;
- laser sensor (vehicles with Intelligent Brake Assist System SCBS).
DSC system components, vehicle front:
1. Hydroelectronic control unit DSC.
2. Brake fluid pressure sensor.
3. TCS OFF switch.
4. Front wheel ABS sensor.
5. Laser sensor (Vehicles with Intelligent Brake Assist System SSBS).
DSC system components, rear of vehicle:
1. Rear wheel ABS sensor.
According to the readings of various sensors, the dynamic stabilization system evaluates the actions of the driver and the parameters of the vehicle's movement. The determination of the onset of an emergency is carried out by comparing the actions of the driver and the parameters of the movement of the car. In the event that the driver's actions differ from the actual parameters of the vehicle's movement, the system activates the appropriate security systems and manages their operation.
The serviceability of all components of the electronic system of dynamic stabilization is controlled by the vehicle's on-board diagnostics system. In the event of malfunctions, the corresponding fault codes are stored in the vehicle's memory and can be read by the M-MDS diagnostic tool.
