Installing wheels on a car
When installing the wheels on the vehicle, tighten the wheel nuts in a cross pattern to 108-147 Nm.
Disconnection of brake lines
If any brake lines are disconnected during repair work, after completion of work, it is necessary to add brake fluid, bleed the brakes (remove air from the system) and check for tightness.
Attention. Brake fluid can damage the paintwork of the car body. Ensure that brake fluid does not come into contact with painted body surfaces. If this still happens, immediately remove the brake fluid from the surface of the body.
Tightening the flange nuts of the brake lines
To tighten the flange nuts of the brake pipelines, a special spanner wrench with a slot for installation on the pipeline is used.
Disconnecting connectors
Disconnect the negative battery terminal before carrying out any work on disconnecting the connectors.
DSC System Components
After servicing the components of the electronic dynamic stabilization system, make sure that there are no fault codes in the memory of the control unit. Delete all trouble codes from memory.
When replacing or removing components of the dynamic stabilization system, it is necessary to perform the procedure for initializing the hydroelectronic control unit of the DSC system (see the relevant section later in this chapter).
Attention. If the initialization procedure is not completed, the stability control system will not function properly, which may result in an accident. Therefore, when replacing or removing components of the DSC system, the system must be initialized.
