The engine has a combined lubrication system (under pressure and splashing). Gear type oil pump with trochoidal engagement and bypass valve.

Oil pump

The oil pump is installed in the engine crankcase and is driven by a chain from the crankshaft sprocket.

Oil pressure at crankshaft speed of 3000 rpm, kg/cm²: 3.5-4.5.

Clearance between driving and driven gears, mm: 0.03-0.12.

Maximum permissible wear clearance, mm: 0.25.

Clearance between the outer diameter of the gears and the housing walls, mm: 0.20-0.294.

Maximum permissible wear clearance, mm: 0.35.

Axial clearance of gears, mm: 0.04-0.10.

Maximum allowable gap, mm: 0.15.

Oil pressure sensor

Minimum sensor response pressure, kg/cm²: 0.3.

Oil filter

Oil filter with replaceable filter element and built-in bypass valve.

Opening pressure of the bypass valve, kg/cm²: 0.8-1.2.

Filter brand: Purflux LS 489.

Motor oil

Lubrication system capacity: 3.4 l (including 0.4 l in the oil filter).

Oil used: SAE 10W40 or 15W40 or 20W50; API SE or SF.

Oil change frequency: every 7500 km or twice a year.

Filter replacement frequency: every 15,000 km or once a year.
