Engine and exhaust system maintenance (Mazda 121 (3))

In accordance with the maintenance plan, the following maintenance operations must be carried out:

Check and adjust valve clearance.

Engine: change oil, check for oil leaks.

Replace the air filter element.

Cooling and heating system: check the concentration of the coolant, the presence of leaks and contamination of the radiator, the expansion tank cap (gasket).

Spark plugs: replace (gasoline engine).

Poly V-belt: check condition.

Fuel lines and tank: check hoses and tubes for correct position, condition and tightness.

Gasoline engines: replace fuel filter.

Diesel: Replace the fuel filter and drain the water from it from time to time.

Exhaust system: check for damage.

Engine crankcase ventilation system: check for leaks; on a 1.3 L engine, clean the oil filler cap.

Replace the timing belt of the gas distribution mechanism drive (except 1.3L engine).
