Exhaust system maintenance (Mazda Capella GE)

The exhaust system consists of an exhaust manifold or manifolds, a catalytic converter, a muffler and a tailpipe. The exhaust system components are attached to the body using brackets and suspension clamps.

Conduct regular inspection of exhaust system components. Worn out exhaust system components cannot be repaired and must be replaced with new ones.



1. Use penetrating oil to remove exhaust system components.



2. Apply penetrating oil to the catalytic converter bolts.



3. During installation, check for the absence of hanging clips (arrows).
