Cleaning the oil filler cap (Mazda 121 (3))

Remove the oil filler cap from the valve cover.

Check the gasket for damage.



Check the tightness of the engine ventilation hoses on the cover by pulling the hoses slightly. Replace damaged hoses.

If contamination is detected in the lid (resin formation), then the lid needs to be washed in gasoline.

Precautions: Do not use fire or smoke! Have a fire extinguisher ready! Ensure good ventilation and wear protective glasses.

Caution: Do not pour dirty gasoline down the drain.

Replace the oil filler cap.

Take a test drive and check the tightness of the lid.
