Diesel engine: Replace fuel filter element.
1.3L engine: check the valve clearance and adjust it if necessary.
Every 3 years or 45 thousand km
Air filter: replace filter element (in dusty areas more often). If there is, replace the sponge oil separator in the air filter housing.
Check the tightness of the engine crankcase ventilation hoses; for a 1.3 L engine, clean the oil filler cap.
Gasoline Engines: Replace Spark Plugs (1.25-/1.4L engines since 09/96: only every 60,000 km).
Poly V-belts: check condition and replace if necessary.
Diesel engine: check condition, replace if necessary.
Exhaust system/underbody: check for damage.
Ford Fiesta Courier: Check the operation of the seat back fold lock.
Automatic transmission (ATX): replace transmission fluid and oil filter element.
