Contents: Cold engine ⇓ Warm engine ⇓
1. Fasten your seat belt.
2. Check if the parking brake is applied.
3. Fully depress the clutch pedal and move the gearshift lever to neutral position. Hold down the clutch pedal and begin to start the engine.
Caution! Do not hold the key in the start position for more than 30 seconds. If the engine stalls or starts with difficulty, wait 30 seconds before trying the starter again; the starter may be damaged.
Cold engine
1. Turn the key in the steering wheel lock to the "ON(ll)" position.
2. Wait a few seconds for the glow plug indicator light to go out.
3. Then turn the key in the steering wheel lock to the position "STAKT(III)" and hold it in this position without pressing the gas pedal until the engine starts.
Note: If the engine does not start, turn the key in the steering wheel lock to the "LOCK (0)" or "ACC (I)" position and wait approximately 5 seconds before starting the engine again. Failure to perform this operation may result in failure of the glow plugs.
Warm engine
1. Turn the key in the steering wheel lock to the "ON(ll)" position.
2. Wait a few seconds until the glow plug indicator light goes out.
3. Turn the key in the steering wheel lock to the position "START(III)" and hold it without pressing the gas pedal until the engine starts.
