For 3 and 4 speed automatic transmission
Any movement must be carried out only in the position of the automatic transmission shift lever "D".
Press the button on the shift lever handle to move the lever to the position "R" And "R" and to translate from "D" V "2" and from "2" V "1".
The handle can be moved to other positions without pressing a button.
Comment! To make the change in speed not sharp, press the brake pedal to move the lever to the position «Neutral" ("N") or "Parking" ("R") when moving forward or backward.
Attention:
- Do not move the lever to the position "R" And "R" before the car comes to a complete stop.
- When stopping on a slope, do not hold the vehicle with the engine. Use the service brake.
- Don't switch from "N" or "R" V "1", "2", "D" or "R" if the engine is running at high speed.
Engine starting
use position "R" or "N", otherwise the starter will not turn on.
R (Parking) Use only for long stops.
Carefully! Do not use the P position (Parking) instead of a parking brake. Make sure the shift lever is in the P position (Parking) and blocked. Then apply the parking brake firmly. Switch off the engine if you leave the vehicle, even briefly. If this precaution is not observed, the vehicle may unexpectedly «break loose" from place.
R (Reverse) To force the car to move backward after stopping.
N (neutral position) When the vehicle is stopped (brake lock).
D (Movement) This position is used for normal control when speed changes occur to select a more economical driving method.
Over speed switch
(For automatic transmission with 4 gears)
In the case of normal operation, it is recommended to set the switch to the position "OK". We recommend using a switch for better fuel economy and quieter driving. To turn it on, set the automatic transmission shift lever to the position "D" and press the switch. The gearbox will be installed in turn on each of the 4 gears. To interrupt this process, press the switch again. If the switch is in position "OFF" - it doesn't work.
However, in the following cases, it is recommended to set the switch to «OFF»:
- If engine braking occurs during a long descent.
- If the transmission shifts from 3rd gear to upshift repeatedly while climbing, driving on slippery surfaces, or when driving with frequent stops.
Control lamp of switching off of the increased transfer (O/D OFF)
This indicator lamp lights up in the switch position «OFF».
2 (2°)
Use this gear when moving slowly and for short distances, on long descents under engine braking, when driving on slippery surfaces, or in other cases where little acceleration is required. Do not exceed 115 km/h in the «2». For models 1.8 - 109 km/h).
1 (First)
This gear is designed for climbing or descending steep slopes. Do not exceed 60 km/h in the "I".
Downshifting
(Only in position "D")
You can get the power and sudden acceleration to climb a steep slope. To do this, press the gas pedal all the way down to switch from high to low speed.
