Accelerator cable (EGI) — adjustment (Mazda Capella GC)

1. With the accelerator pedal fully released, check for 1.0-3.0 mm of free play on the inner cable or pedal, or in the throttle body. If necessary, loosen the locknuts at the end of the cable housing to achieve the required play. After adjustment, tighten the lock nuts.

2. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and check that the throttle valve is fully open on the throttle body. If necessary, adjust the stop bolt on the pedal hanger.
