Air Flow Meter (EGI) — removal and installation (Mazda Capella GC)

1. Unscrew the clamping bar and remove the electrical connector from the air flow meter (photo).



2. Loosen the clamps and disconnect the main air hose and the two injection air hoses (photo).



3. Disconnect the vacuum hoses to the power steering or to the air conditioner idle solenoid valves, where used (photo).





4. Remove the air filter cover, then unscrew the air flow meter and remove the rubber seals (photo).

5. Assembly is carried out in the reverse order, but install a new rubber seal, and finally check and adjust the idle speed (Chapter 3).
