Carburetor (late models) — description (Mazda Capella GC)

1. The carburetor on later 2.0-liter models is equipped with an automatic choke, instead of the manual choke on earlier models. It incorporates a bimetallic spring that is electrically heated to open the air damper for a longer period than determined by the ambient air temperature.

2. Except for the assembly of the automatic choke, the rest of the carburetor is basically assembled in the same way as the normal choke, the different procedures are described in the following paragraphs.
