Caution: To avoid damage to transmission components, partial loading of 4WD models is prohibited (by raising only one of the vehicle's axles).
The all-wheel drive system allows you to switch the drive of the wheels (on the rear wheels or on all wheels). The all-wheel drive system consists of a transfer case and a controlled mechanism for disconnecting the front axle. The front axle disconnect system improves fuel efficiency by disconnecting the front axle when using rear-wheel drive (transfer case mode "H2").
Using the lever located on the center console, you can switch the wheel drive (rear wheel drive or all wheel drive).

When the "4H" all-wheel drive mode or "4L" mode is engaged, the all-wheel drive engagement indicator lights up on the instrument cluster.

The "RFW LOCK" indicator of the front axle disabling system also lights up on the instrument cluster when the "4H" or "4L" mode is engaged.

When the lever is moved from the "4H" or "4L" position to the "2H" position, the "RFW LOCK" indicator will remain lit. In order for the "RFW LOCK" indicator of the front axle disconnect system to go out, it is necessary to press the "RFW LOCK" switch located on the instrument panel.

Disengage the front axle when there is no need for all-wheel drive and when you want to improve fuel economy.
Attention:
- When changing tires (wheel disks) use only tires (wheel disks) same size and design as recommended tires (wheel disks) for your vehicle and with the same or greater load capacity. Using a tire (wheel disk) any other size or type may seriously affect the vehicle's handling
- When using winter tires, also install tires of the same specified size, same manufacturer, same type and same tread pattern.
- Do not install tires with different degrees of wear.
- Make sure the pressure in all 4 tires is the same.
Transmission operating modes
Position "N"
This position means the neutral position of the transfer case control lever, in which the engine torque is not transmitted to the wheels of the car. This mode is used only for towing your car.
Note: Do not move the transfer case control lever to the "L" position while the vehicle is parked, as moving the manual transmission lever to the "1" or "R" position may cause the vehicle to move, which may result in an accident.
Position "2H"
The drive is to the rear wheels. This mode is used for normal driving on dry roads with a hard surface.
Position "4H"
All-wheel drive mode with the transfer case overdrive engaged. This mode is intended only for driving on sandy or wet, icy or snow-covered roads. When this mode is engaged, the all-wheel drive indicator lights up on the instrument cluster.
Drive in this mode at a speed of no more than 100 km/h.
Position "4L"
Four-wheel drive mode with the transfer case in low range. Use this mode to obtain maximum torque and traction. Use the "4L" mode for severe driving conditions, such as climbing and descending steep hills, off-road driving, in sand, mud or deep snow. When this mode is engaged, the four-wheel drive indicator on the instrument cluster lights up
Switching technique
1. Switching from "2H" mode to "4H" mode (the "RFW LOCK" indicator of the front axle disabling system does not light).
Stop the car and move the lever from position "2H" to position "4H". The indicator "RFW LOCK" on the instrument cluster will light up.
Note:
- Perform the shifting when the vehicle is stationary. If the lever is moved from the "2H" position to the "4H" position while driving, it will damage the all-wheel drive system.
- The "RFW LOCK" indicator does not light up immediately after moving the transfer case control lever to the "4H" or "4L" position, but will light up after you have driven the vehicle a short distance.
- The "RFW LOCK" indicator flashes if the driving speed with all-wheel drive engaged exceeds 100 km/h. In this case, you must either reduce your driving speed or disengage the drive to the front axle of the vehicle by pressing switch "RFW"
- Do not continue driving the vehicle with the 4WD engaged or the front 4WD engaged while the "RFW LOCK" indicator is flashing, as this may cause damage to the vehicle's transmission.
- If the front axle is engaged while the rear wheel drive is engaged, this will result in increased transmission wear, reduced fuel economy and excessive noise.
2. Switching from the "2H" mode to the "4H" mode (the "RFW LOCK" indicator of the front axle disabling system is on).
After moving the lever from the "2H" position to the "4H" position, start driving the car. The steering wheel should be set to the straight-ahead position.
3. Switching from "4H" mode to "4L" mode and back.

Stop the vehicle, press the clutch pedal and move the lever from position "4H" (or "4L") to position "4L" (or "4H").
Note: Perform the shifting operation when the vehicle is stationary. If the lever is shifted from the "4H"/"4L" position to the "4L"/"4H" position while the vehicle is moving, it will damage the 4WD system.
4. Switching from "4H" mode to "2H" mode.
To switch, move the lever from the "4H" position to the "2H" position.
When the all-wheel drive is disconnected, the "RFW LOCK" indicator on the instrument cluster will continue to light. In order for the "RFW LOCK" indicator of the all-wheel drive disconnect system to go out, you must press the "RFW LOCK" switch.
