Removing and installing the accelerator pedal position sensor
Note: Since the accelerator pedal position sensor is integrated into the accelerator pedal, it is not possible to replace the sensor separately.
Checking the Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor
Voltage test
1. Connect the M-MDS device to the DLC-2 diagnostic socket.
2. Turn on the ignition (engine off or on).
3. Make sure the output voltage (APP1, APP2 according to the M-MDS device) increases in proportion to the increase in the throttle opening angle with a gradual increase in the opening angle. If the output voltage changes, go to the next step. If the output voltage does not change, replace the accelerator pedal with a new one.
4. Verify that the output voltage of the throttle position sensor (APP1, APP2 according to the M-MDS device) corresponds to the norm when the pedal is depressed and released. If the values obtained are not correct, replace the accelerator pedal with a new one.
