Note: Since the #2 intake air temperature sensor is integrated into the MAP sensor, these sensors cannot be replaced individually.
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Disconnect the intake manifold absolute pressure/intake air temperature #2 sensor connector.
3. Remove the intake manifold absolute pressure/intake air temperature #2 sensor.
4. Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
Checking the absolute pressure sensor in the intake manifold
Voltage test
1. Connect the M-MDS device to the DLC-2 diagnostic connector.
2. Turn on the ignition (engine off or on).
3. Verify that the output voltage of the intake manifold absolute pressure sensor (MAP in M-MDS) corresponds to the norm. If the reading is not correct, replace the intake manifold absolute pressure/intake air temperature #2 sensor with a new one.
Checking the sensor No. 2 intake air temperature
Resistance Check Sensor #2 Mass Air Flow/Intake Air Temperature
Note: Since the #2 intake air temperature sensor is integrated into the MAP sensor, these sensors cannot be replaced individually.
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Disconnect the #2 manifold absolute pressure/intake air temperature sensor connector.
3. Measure the resistance between terminals A and B of the mass air flow/intake air temperature sensor connector. If the measured value is not correct, replace the mass air flow/intake air temperature sensor.
