Removal and installation the throttle position sensor

Note: The throttle position sensor cannot be replaced separately. If the throttle position sensor needs to be replaced, replace it together with the throttle body.

Checking the throttle position sensor

Checking voltage

Caution: This test cannot be performed correctly if the accelerator pedal position sensor or throttle actuator is faulty. Before starting the test, make sure there are no fault codes related to the accelerator pedal position sensor or throttle actuator.

1. Connect the M-MDS device to the DLC-2 diagnostic connector.

2. Turn on the ignition (engine off or on).

3. Make sure that the output voltage of the throttle position sensor (TP1, TP2 according to M-MDS device) changes according to the throttle opening angle with a smooth increase in the opening angle. If the output voltage changes, proceed to the next step. If the output voltage does not change, replace the throttle body with a new one.

4. Make sure that the output voltage of the throttle position sensor (TP1, TP2 according to M-MDS device) corresponds to the norm with the pedal pressed and released. If the obtained values do not correspond to the norm, replace the throttle body with a new one.

4. Make sure that the output voltage of the throttle position sensor (TP1, TP2 according to M-MDS…
