Removal and installation the throttle position sensor (diesel) (Mazda 3 BK)

Remove the battery cover.

Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

Please follow the following procedure to ensure easy access.

Remove the air filter.

Remove the air hose.



Remove the throttle position sensor (fig. 2.343).

Make sure the throttle valve closes completely.

Install the throttle position sensor onto the throttle body.

Tightening torque: 1.6–2.4 Nm.

Make sure the throttle valve moves smoothly.

Connect the throttle position sensor connector.

Check that the throttle position sensor output voltage is (PID WDS: Throttle Position) – within normal limits when the valve is open or closed.

If not normal, check the throttle position sensor.
