Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Please follow the following procedure to ensure easy access.
Remove the air filter.
Move the exhaust gas recirculation pipe to the side (from the intake manifold side).
Drain the coolant from the engine.

Install a special tool on the coolant temperature sensor (fig. 2.341).
Remove the coolant temperature sensor.
Replace the gasket.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Coolant temperature sensor tightening torque: 15.7–23.5 N·m.
