Caution: Make sure the engine is cool before performing the procedure.
1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Drain the coolant (see chapter "Maintenance and general check and adjustment procedures").
3. Remove the fuel accumulator.
4. Remove the coolant temperature sensor by disconnecting the connector.

5. Check the coolant temperature sensor.
a) Immerse the sensitive element of the sensor in water.

b) Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance of the coolant temperature sensor. To do this, connect the ohmmeter to the "A - B" terminals of the sensor.

If the resistance value is outside the limits, replace the sensor.
6. Installation of parts is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Note: When installing the sensor, replace the seal.
