1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Follow the procedures in the section "Before carrying out repair work".

3. Drain the fuel from the fuel filter.

4. Remove the water presence sensor.

5. Using an ohmmeter, check the conductivity of the sensor when changing the position of the float.

Replace the sensor if necessary.
