Replacing the fuel filter (Mazda Capella GC)

1. The fuel filter is located on the left side of the engine compartment and is secured with a spring clip. The filter is disposable and must be replaced at certain intervals.

2. Place a rag or newspaper under the fuel filter to catch any spilled fuel when disconnecting the hoses.

3. Using pliers, slide the retaining clips over the hoses and disconnect the hoses from the filter (photo).



4. Note the direction of the arrow on the filter and detach the filter from the mounting bracket.

5. Install the new filter so that its arrow points in the right direction, connect the hoses and install the clamps.
