Note: If the vehicle is operated in very dusty conditions, replace the air cleaner filter element more often than specified in the maintenance schedule.

1. Unfasten the latches (fig. 1.185).

2. Remove the air cleaner cover and take out the filter element (fig. 1.186).

3. Wipe the inside of the air cleaner housing with a damp cloth.

4. Clean or replace the filter element.

5. Install the filter element and perform the above operations in reverse order.

Replace the air cleaner filter element in accordance with the established maintenance schedule.
