If the brushes do not clean the glass well, wash the glass and brush blades with an effective cleaner or mild detergent, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. If necessary, repeat the treatment of glass and brushes.
If the windshield wiper no longer provides good glass cleaning, worn or cracked wiper blades may be the cause. Replace worn blades or brushes.
1. Raise the wiper arm and rotate the blade around the pivot to expose the plastic tab on the retainer.

Slide the brush down (along the arrow, as shown in Figure 1.187). Then remove the brush from the wiper arm.
2. Bend down the end of the rubber blade and pull it out of the holder.
3. Remove the spring ribs from the rubber blade and insert them into the new brush blade.
4. Carefully insert the new rubber blade. Then install the brush assembly to the wiper arm in reverse order.
Attention! Do not bend or discard the spring fins. They are reusable. If the spring ribs are not installed in the blade, the quality of glass cleaning may deteriorate. It is forbidden to use the spring ribs removed from the left wiper blade for installation in the right brush, and vice versa. Be sure to install the spring fins into the new wiper blade so that the blade curve is the same as the old blade.
