1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
2. Start the engine and depress the brake pedal.
3. Move the range selector lever to all positions one by one and then set it to the position «R» (parking).
4. While the engine is idling, remove the automatic transmission dipstick and wipe it dry. Then insert the dipstick into place.

5. Remove the dipstick again. The normal level of the working fluid corresponds to the range between the marks on the control dipstick, (pic. 1.183.
Scale A - for hot working fluid.
After driving a car when the fluid has reached normal operating temperature (around 65°С), the fluid level should be between the upper and lower marks on the left side of the dipstick.
Scale B - for cold working fluid.
If the engine has not been running and the ambient temperature is about 20°C, then the fluid level should be between the upper and lower marks on the right side of the dipstick.
Insert the dipstick fully until it stops. When topping up the working fluid, control its level on the dipstick so as not to overfill above the maximum level.
Note. Check up level of a working liquid on labels on both parties of a control probe. To eliminate errors, control the level on the probe in a well-lit area.
