- ATF Dexron - II or M-III
Examination
1. Warm up the engine by driving for 20 km, then the gearbox will have an oil temperature of at least +65°C.
2. Place the vehicle on a level surface.
3. Let the engine idle for 2 minutes. Apply the handbrake, shift the gear selector to all positions and leave in position R.
4. Remove the dipstick and wipe it with a clean cloth.
5. Insert the rod back and take it out again.
6. Check oil level. If necessary, add oil slowly using a funnel and a strainer.
Attention! The oil level must not be below the minimum marks, otherwise damage to the transmission may result. If the oil level is above the maximum marks (F), this may cause the box to overheat, causing leakage. If the level is too high, the oil should be pumped out.
Attention! If the automatic transmission oil is black and has a burning smell, the transmission is defective and should be checked by a workshop.
