2. Inspect the entire length of the cable and make sure it is not stuck anywhere.
3. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature and make sure the choke is fully open (Chapter 14), and the cable is properly adjusted (Section 4).
4. Measure the cable play at the carburetor and adjust it as necessary, as shown in the illustration. The backlash should be 1-3 mm.
Throttle link adjustment (Chapter 19):
- A - If the play needs adjustment, turn this nut
- B - Press the pedal all the way down and, if the carburetor throttle is not fully open, adjust its position with this bolt
