1. If the model is equipped with a manual transmission, it is necessary to adjust the free travel of the clutch pedal, as well as the position of the pressed and released pedal. Clutch pedal free play is the distance the pedal travels before resistance occurs (the clutch begins to disengage). Clutch pedal installation height is the distance from the pedal pad to the heat-insulating shield when the pedal is in its original position. Clutch pedal height is the distance from the clutch pedal lining to the floor when the pedal is fully depressed, so that the gear shift lever moves from first gear to reverse with the engine running.

2. To check free play, press the clutch pedal until you feel resistance. Measure the distance the pedal has traveled and compare the resulting value with the data given in the Specifications.

3. To check the clutch pedal installation height, measure the distance between the pedal and the heat shield and compare the obtained value with the data given in the Specifications.

4. Check the pedal height by measuring the distance between the pedal pad and the floor and comparing the measurement with the Specifications.

5. To adjust the pedal height, remove the heater duct under the dashboard to provide adequate working space. Loosen the locknut (A) and adjust the pedal height by turning the bolt (B). When finished, tighten the locknut securely.

6. To adjust the pedal free play, press the clutch release lever in the engine compartment while holding the cable taut and measure the clearance (A). Loosen the lock nut and adjust the clearance by turning the adjusting nut (B). Recheck the pedal free play and clutch lever clearance before tightening the lock nut.
