2. Before you start working, buy the specified Specifications transmission fluid (see Recommended Fluids and Lubricants at the beginning of this manual).
3. In addition, for this job you will need axle stands, a drain container with a capacity of at least 4.5 liters, newspapers and clean rags.
4. The liquid should be drained when it is hot. This will remove more sediment than if the liquid was cold. The temperature of the liquid may exceed 180°C, so it is recommended to wear protective gloves.
5. After the engine has warmed up to operating temperature, jack up the car and place it on axle stands.
6. Place everything needed under the vehicle, being careful not to touch hot exhaust system components.
7. Place a drain pan under the transmission differential and remove the drain plug (photo). Make sure the drain pan is in the correct location, as the fluid will flow with some force.

8. After the fluid has completely drained, clean the transmission drain plug and reinstall it. Tighten the plug securely.
9. Lower the car to the ground.
10. Open the hood and remove the transmission fluid dipstick.
11. Fill the transmission with the required amount of fluid of the correct type as specified in the Specifications (use a funnel to prevent spills). It is better to add liquid little by little, monitoring the level with a dipstick (Chapter 4). Let the liquid drain into the tray. Prevent dirt and foreign matter from entering the transmission.
12. Set the drive mode selector to the "Park" position, apply the parking brake and start the engine without pressing the accelerator pedal (if possible). Do not increase engine speed, let it idle.
13. Check the transmission fluid level again (the engine is still idling). Look under the vehicle to check the area around the transmission drain plug for leaks.
14. Make sure that the fluid level is just below the "F" mark on the dipstick. Do not allow the fluid level to rise above this mark, otherwise the transmission will overfill and the excess fluid will need to be drained.
15. Reinsert the dipstick into the tube and drive the engine for a short time to warm it up to normal operating temperature. Park the car on a level surface, let the engine idle, and check the fluid level again (with the lever in the "Park" position). The level should now be at the "F" mark. If it isn't, add the required amount of fluid to bring the level up to this point. Again, be careful not to overfill the transmission.
