Checking the automatic transmission fluid level



Warning. If the automatic transmission fluid level is not correct, or there is no fluid on the dipstick after the engine has warmed up, do not drive the vehicle. Otherwise, the gearbox may be damaged.


1. Loosen the measuring probe mounting bolt.

2. Connect the M-MDS device to the DLC-2 connector and display the PID TFT.

3. Warm up the gearbox to a working fluid temperature of 50°C.

4. With the engine idling, remove the dipstick and wipe off the working fluid using a nylon cloth.

5. Insert the dipstick and remove it again.

6. Make sure that the automatic transmission fluid level is between the L and F marks on the dipstick.

7. If the automatic transmission fluid level is not between the L and F marks on the dipstick, adjust the level to the norm.



Note: Automatic transmission fluid is blue. Use only ATF FZ automatic transmission fluid.


8. Insert the measuring probe and tighten the mounting bolt to a torque of 8-11 Nm.
