2. Remove the air filter.
3. Remove the wiring bracket.

Gearboxes GW6A-EL, GW6AX-EL
4. Remove the square plug of the pressure test port.
Attention. Do not remove the square plug when the temperature of the automatic transmission fluid is high. Otherwise, the operating fluid may splash out and cause severe burns. Remove the square plug of the pressure test port only after the transmission has cooled down sufficiently.
Note. Use a suitable oil pressure gauge with the correct measuring range.

Note: replace the part with a new one after each removal.
5. Install special equipment (49 0019 908, 49 0019 909, 49 0019 910, 49 0019 911, 49 0019 913) to the pressure test port as shown.
6. Install the engine air filter.
7. Start the engine.
8. Warm up the gearbox to the working fluid temperature of 60-70°C.
9. Move the selector lever to position D.
10. Measure the line pressure at idle in position D.
11. Similarly, measure the main pressure at idle in the M positions (first gear) and R.
12. Stop the engine.
13. Replace low pressure gauge (49 0019 908) on the high pressure gauge (49 0019 907).
14. Start the engine.
15. Measure the main pressure in stop mode in position D of the transmission:
- Press the brake pedal hard with your left foot.
- Move the selector lever to position D.
Attention. To prevent damage to the transmission, measure the line pressure in stop mode for no longer than five seconds.
- Slowly depress the accelerator pedal with your right foot until it stops.
- Quickly read the line pressure value in stop mode and take your right foot off the accelerator pedal.
- Move the selector lever to position N and reset the engine speed to idle for one minute or more.
16. Similarly, measure the line pressure in stop mode for all other positions except D.
17. If any problems are found, find the cause and correct the problems.
Note. Line pressure values are shown in the table at the beginning of this chapter.
18. Stop the engine.
19. Remove the air filter.
20. Remove special equipment.
Attention. If the special equipment is removed when the temperature of the automatic transmission fluid is high, the fluid may splash out and cause severe burns. Remove the special equipment only after the gearbox has cooled down sufficiently.
21. Install a new square plug on the pressure test port and tighten to 7.2-9.8 Nm.
Note. Do not reuse the square plug as it has a sealing coating that breaks when installed.
22. Install the electrical wiring bracket and tighten the fixing bolts to 10 Nm.
23. Install the engine air filter.
