2. Securely apply the parking brake and place wheel chocks under the front and rear wheels.
3. Start the engine.
4. Measure the rotation speed in stop mode in position D:
Press the brake pedal firmly with your left foot.
Move the selector lever to position D.
Caution: To prevent damage to the gearbox, measure the line pressure in stop mode for no longer than five seconds.
With your right foot, slowly press the accelerator pedal all the way down.
Quickly read the engine speed after the speed has stabilized and remove your right foot from the accelerator pedal.
Move the selector lever to position N and reduce the engine speed to idle for one minute or more.
5. Similarly, measure the crankshaft speed in stop mode in positions M (first gear) and R.
6. If any malfunctions are detected, search for the cause and troubleshoot.
Note: The values of the crankshaft speed in stop mode are given in the table at the beginning of this chapter.
