BP engines have an electronic idle speed control system, so idle speed adjustment is not possible on these engines.

Verification condition: The air filter must be installed; all hoses and air intake system lines are connected. All power consumers are switched off.

1. Warm up the engine. The engine temperature is at least +80°C.

2. Check the ignition timing.

Caution! Connect the test device only when the ignition is off.


3. Connect the tachometer according to the manufacturer's instructions.

4. Start the engine and let it idle.

5. Let the engine run for 2 minutes at 2500 rpm.

6. Leave the engine idling and check the idle speed.

7. If the idle speed does not correspond to the required value, adjust it using the throttle valve adjusting screw.

8. Turn off the test devices when the engine is not running and the ignition is off.
