General Instructions for Verification
Attention! If the self-diagnosis device has detected a fault, for example, of the coolant temperature sensor, the fault may also be inside the control unit. The fault can be determined either by replacing the sensor or by further detailed testing using special devices (is done in the workshop).
Note: Workshops do not accept returns of purchased but unused parts.
1. Disconnect the cables, check the reliability of the connections, remove corrosion.
2. Check the cable fastening.
3. Check the resistance of the faulty part and compare it with the required value.
4. Check the wires to the control device for current flow using an ohmmeter
Attention! When the battery is disconnected, the faults in the control unit memory are erased. If the same faults appear during further operation, they are recorded in the memory again.
