Attention! On vehicles with a catalytic converter, the CO content cannot be checked and adjusted.
Verification condition: Check the exhaust system by plugging the rear exhaust pipe with a rag while the engine is running. All connections must be tight.
Caution! During this check, pay attention to particularly good ventilation. There is a risk of poisoning.
1. Warm up the engine. The engine temperature should be at least +80°C.
2. Check the idle speed.
3. Turn off all electrical consumers.
Attention! Connect test devices only when the ignition is off.
4. Connect the tachometer according to the manufacturer's instructions.
5. Connect the CO measurement probe to the rear exhaust pipe.
6. Start the engine and let it idle.
7. Increase the speed for 3 minutes to 2500 - 3000 rpm.
8. Let the engine run for 3 minutes at idle speed to allow the CO value to stabilize.
9. Check the CO content with a measuring device.
Required value: 1,5±0,5 %
Caution! The radiator fan should not turn on during the test. If the fan turns on, wait until it turns off again.

10. If the CO value needs to be adjusted, remove the seal from the adjusting screw and adjust the CO content using it.
11. Check the idle speed again and adjust if necessary.
