Removal and installation
Attention: when installing the crankshaft position sensor, make sure that it is thoroughly cleaned of any foreign metal materials, otherwise the signal from the sensor will be distorted during operation.
1. Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery.
2. (If necessary) Remove the bottom protection.
3. Disconnect the connector from the sensor and remove the sensor (2) crankshaft position by unscrewing the bolt (1) mounts.
- Tightening torque - 8 - 11 Nm
4. Installation of details is made in sequence, return to removal.
Installation note:
- Check the sensor o-ring and if it is damaged, replace the o-ring.
- Apply a coat of clean engine oil to the O-ring and sensor mounting hole.
- Insert the sensor into the mounting hole until the sensor flange contacts the mounting surface.
- After installation, check that the sensor O-ring is not twisted, bent, or damaged.
Examination
The test is carried out at idle after the engine has warmed up.
Use an oscilloscope to check the sensor waveform. Connect an oscilloscope to the output "A" sensor and ground or to terminal "IN" sensor and mass.
Parameters: division value along the Y axis - 5 V. division value along the X axis - 2 ms.
