Caution: When replacing the crankshaft position sensor, make sure that there are no foreign objects on it, such as metal filings.
Caution: If sawdust or chips are present, the sensor output signal will be distorted due to magnetic flux fluctuations, which will lead to deterioration in the engine control system performance.
Remove the battery cover.
Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Please follow the following procedure to ensure easy access.
Remove the bottom cover.

Remove the crankshaft position sensor (fig. 2.342).

Install in the reverse order of removal.
Crankshaft position sensor tightening torque: 7.8–10.8 N·m.
